WinClear is a useful program that allows you to scan and remove temporary files generated while using your computer or surfing the web, as these may have personal information. The program divides the scanning process in four main sections: The "Windows General" section includes your recent searches and recently viewed items, such as music files, pictures, documents, etc. Windows automatically creates shortcuts in temporary files of the recently accessed documents, which contain their files' paths. These kinds of files are regularly stored in temporary folders or may have the ".lnk" or ".tmp" extensions. The "Internet History" section is able to remove Internet traces, including cookies, pictures, music, videos, history, etc. The "Chat History" section includes items of conversation logs from any instant messaging program, such as Yahoo! Messenger. The "Software" section includes files accessed by programs. After the program scans your computer, it shows the items found and the disk space they take up. You can select the items you would like to remove before starting the scanning process.

Need WinClear which was deleted in error, however, when I download here, I can scan but when I try to remove, it wants me to buy, which of course I can't, and another place asks me for the reg numbers which I lost years ago. In the past when I got a new computer the WinClear people told me to use www.winclear.com/full/winclear-full.exe but that didn't work this time so it looks like I'm out of luck.
